MemberSync is a plugin that manages permissions and access between different systems such as learning management systems (LMS), membership plugins, and user roles. Its purpose is to fill gaps in existing membership setups and work alongside other membership plugins rather than replacing them entirely. It does not have native e-commerce functionality for purchasing access to content but relies on external carts like Woo, EDD, etc. The plugin focuses on complex access mediation and group management, minimizing redundancy with other systems.
