This product gets very confusing to talk about because there are many similar kinds of data structures in many different plugins which each use their own terminology to describe a similar concept. For that reason we have decided to use specific words to refer to specific concepts for the sake of clarity going forward.

Group: Native LearnDash groups

Membership Plan: Native Woo Membership "type" that determines what content is unlocked (and when if it is delayed) when a user holds a Membership of that type

Membership: An instance of a Membership "type" granted to a specific user that can expire on a certain schedule or change status.

Team: Native WooCommerce Team, which is a grouping of users that all obtain a Membership of the same type when they are added to the Woo Team.

Team Seat: Native WooCommerce Teams Seats, represents a "slot" available for a user to join a team and limits how many users can be on a team. More can often be purchased.

Team Product: Native Woo Product that when purchased generates a Team owned by the purchaser who can then invite users to the team.

Membership Product: Native Woo Product that when purchased grants a Woo Membership to the purchaser.

Team Owner: In Woo Teams, the purchaser and "super-admin" of the team that can onboard new members, purchase additional seats and promote members to Manager. They are the only Team Member with billing access. They may or may not take up a "seat" themsevles, and if they do not, unlike other Team Members, they will not obtain access to the Membership of the type associated with the team.

Team Manager: A Woo Teams role that the Team Owner can apply to a Team Member. Managers can invite members and remove members in addition to being granted the Membership of the type associated with the team.

Team Member: The Woo Teams role granted to those added to the team by an Owner or Manager. It simply grants them the Membership of the type associated with the team. They do not have access to manage other Team Members or billing.

Group Leader: Group Leader is a WordPress role added by LearnDash which allows a WP user with the role to view reports on course progress for any LearnDash Group they are a leader in.

License: the concept of a "seat" native to MemberSync. A license represents an entitlement to access certain content or obtain a certain permission / role. It can be held / owned by a user or an organization (like a Woo Team) and then redeemed by a user or by an organization on behalf of a user.

License Template: the concept of a "membership plan" native to MemberSync

Sync Group: the concept of a group of users sharing certain access / permissions / reporting in MemberSync. Analogous to an organization, Woo Team or LD Group.

Admin or Site Admin: are the people who does the setup and manages the products, site
