LearnDash Learning Management System:
- Configure LearnDash LMS: Configure LearnDash LMS by creating your course structure, adding lessons, quizzes, and assignments. Define access levels, course prerequisites, and grading criteria. You can utilize the documentation provided by LearnDash to configure and customize the courses.
- Access Mode: We recommend setting the courses to Closed
WooCommerce:
- Set up the basic WooCommerce store: This involves several key steps and would depend on a client's business process flow. But in the case of starting from scratch here are some guidance, you can refer to the official documentation at WooCommerce Getting Started for a comprehensive, step-by-step guide. Additionally, for visual guidance and tutorials, you may want to explore this link. Although the documentations includes setting up the Products we recommend holding of on this and instead creating a Membership Plan first. It might also be worth mentioning that you can also use WooCommerce's shortcodes to set up your purchase pages easily. We also create an onboarding purchase page to give you an idea on what to expect but this will definitely depend on the business flow of your website. Dont forget to Enable test payment, you can follow the installation and setup instructions provided in the WooCommerce Stripe Gateway documentation for seamless integration but remember that Stripe is just one of the common payment methods, other examples of payment methods that work with WooCommerce include PayPal, Square, Apple Pay and so much more.
MemberSync
- Configure WooCommerce Membership Plans: Customize membership levels and access rules using the WooCommerce Memberships plugin. Define which courses are available to specific membership levels or create unique membership tiers with different benefits. The WooCommerce Memberships Plans documentation will assist you in configuring your memberships effectively. To simplify the connection of the product, we recommend setting up the Membership Plans first before creating the product. - Create and configure a Product: Properly configure your products enhances the customer experience and increases your chances of conversions (sales). Refer to the WooCommerce documentation for detailed instructions on each step. You can also check out Product page for some guidance on the features that MemberSync can offer. Part of this is setting up group membership options, including pricing, limits, and access rules as well as defining the benefits and restrictions for group members, such as shared access to courses and collaborative features. Another source that could be used is the installation instructions found in the Teams for WooCommerce Memberships documentation
- Do a Test purchase: Run test purchases to confirm a smooth experience across various scenarios: standard checkout, guest checkout, and gift purchases (with separate shipping). Iron out any kinks in a test environment to ensure a seamless buying experience for all your customers. Test that the purchase flow follows the plan you have. This guide could give some ideas on how it should work.
- Check the User’s Access: Depending on how your website is setup, you can usually check this on Learndash Profile's registered course list or if you have a custom dashboard then the courses should be listed there but this may take time to sync especially if there are many user in the Memberships though if there are only a few then it shouldn't take that long. There may be a 1min delay if the Action Scheduler is not triggered.
